The panel of experts comprises executives from each of T&D World Live’s three host utilities—Georgia Power, Georgia Transmission Co., and Cobb EMC—as well as an seasoned industry expert from the general session sponsor, IFS. Audience participation will be encouraged through questions. This session not only marks the commencement of the conference but also sets the tone for three days of learning from and networking with industry experts and peers.

The discussion will include lessons learned from extreme weather events and the post event preparations, and measures being implemented to improve distribution grid resiliency. It also will cover advanced technologies that can improve grid reliability and resiliency, along with cost recovery challenges related to new tech. In addition, heightened expectations of customers, regulators, investors, and politicians will be a topic of discussion. This session is designed to encourage audience participation by inviting audience questions, as well as encouraging audience members to share their experiences with the topics being discussed.
