Alan Wong is the Founder and CEO of IND Technology, which he founded in 2013 with the primary goal of pioneering solutions to enhance electrical infrastructure safety and fault prevention. Focusing on high-frequency monitoring technology to track electrical anomalies within complex electrical transmission and distribution utility infrastructure, IND's EFD technology is designed to eliminate powerline-initiated fires and failures through failure prediction rather than reactive failure discovery. Alan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from RMIT University (Australia), where he currently serves as a Professor in High Voltage Engineering in addition to his duties as IND Technology's CEO. Alan also serves as President of the Hundred School Project, Inc. a non-profit organization that focuses on improving the learning experience by offering free education to children in disadvantaged communities in remote areas around the world. Alan is the recipient of the 2021 Clunies Ross Award for Innovation and 2021 RMIT Vice Chancellor Award for Research Impact for his development of the Early Fault Detection (EFD) system.
