Stephen Augustine, P.E., is an engineer at Southern California Edison (SCE) in the Switching and Reactive Apparatus Asset Engineering group. In addition to leading SCE’s Early Fault Detection (EFD) pilot, Stephen is also the responsible engineer for SCE’s distribution capacitor bank product line, which includes capacitor units, capacitor switches and capacitor controls. Prior to beginning his career at SCE, Stephen worked as a substation design engineer at Burns & McDonnell. He received his bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in electrical and computer engineering. Stephen is a licensed professional engineer registered as an electrical engineer in California.
