Dr. Kamel earned his Ph.D. degree from McGill University in Canada. His career spans more than 35 years in Academia and the Electrical Power industry. Dr. Kamel has extensive experience in design, development and testing of cables, cable accessories and surge arresters. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and currently, is the Vice President for New Product Development of Wire and Cable at Southwire. Dr. Kamel has published 10 papers and numerous reports. He has been granted 21 US patents.
