Youba Nait Belaid is a Senior Scientific Engineer in the Grid Integration Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His work addresses some of today's most pressing utility challenges, with a focus on transmission capacity optimization, grid-enhancing technologies (GETs), and advanced conductors. He specializes in applying data-driven mathematical methods to real-world infrastructure planning to cost-effectively increase grid capacity and strengthen network resilience against both physical and cyber-physical disruptions. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and combines expertise in power systems and telecommunications to advance modern, resilient utility infrastructure
