Pavel Grechanuk leads wildfire risk modeling at Technosylva, where he develops probabilistic frameworks that help major U.S. utilities understand, prioritize, and act on their wildfire and extreme weather risk. His work sits at the intersection of fire science, atmospheric modeling, and utility operations - translating complex risk models into the consequence scores and hardening priorities that drive real investment decisions. Before joining Technosylva, Pavel spent three years at PacifiCorp working across both operational and long-term wildfire risk modeling, from real-time outage prediction and PSPS decision-making to localized risk assessments used for infrastructure planning and prioritization. He holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Oregon State University.
