Jim Gill serves as the Sr. Director of Longterm System Planning. In his role, he leads the Transmission and Distribution Planning and Climate Resilience teams—critical functions that shape how we manage risk, reliability, and long-term system performance across our electric infrastructure.

Jim brings more than two decades of leadership, engineering, and operational experience at PG&E. He has held a range of technical and executive roles spanning Electric Distribution, Standards, and Power Generation, consistently delivering results in complex, high-impact environments.

Jim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California.
