Ms. Mythili Chaganti is the Director of High Voltage Delivery at CenterPoint Energy, where she leads the execution of the company’s $2.5 billion Systemwide Resilience Plan. Her work focuses on modernizing high-voltage infrastructure to enhance grid reliability, resiliency, safety, and sustainability across the Houston region.
With over 20 years of experience in the power sector, Ms. Chaganti has overseen the integration of more than 900 MW of distributed energy resources and led grid-hardening initiatives to support clean energy adoption. She is recognized for her ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams, as well as for building strong partnerships with regulators, policymakers, and external stakeholders to advance complex infrastructure projects. Prior to joining CenterPoint Energy, she held various technical and leadership roles at Xcel Energy, where she delivered $20 million in cost savings and provided expert testimony on major transmission projects supporting renewable integration.
Ms. Chaganti is a Senior Member of IEEE and currently serves as Vice President for Chapters & Membership on the IEEE Power & Energy Society Governing Board. She is a recipient of the IEEE PES Outstanding Engineer Award and has chaired several national technical conferences, including the IEEE PES General Meeting, the Minnesota Power Systems Conference, and the Transmission & Substation Design & Operation Symposium.
She holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology and an MBA from the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business, where she was recognized as the Outstanding MBA Student. As a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Ms. Chaganti passionately advocates for customer service, innovation, affordability, and sustainability in high-voltage power delivery systems.
