Mark Esguerra is director of Transmission and Substation Engineering at Southern California Edison (SCE), where he leads the project development, engineering, design, and delivery of electric transmission and substation infrastructure across Southern California.

With nearly 30 years of utility industry experience, Mark has held leadership roles supporting transmission and distribution system planning, grid reliability, resilience, wildfire mitigation, asset management, and generation interconnections. He is currently helping lead SCE’s system grid readiness efforts to prepare for LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, ensuring reliability and resilient power infrastructure to support one of the world’s largest sporting events.

Mark serves on the Board of Directors for the North American Transmission Forum (NATF) and on the Industry Advisory Board for California State University, Northridge (CSUN). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco State University, an MBA from the University of San Francisco, and is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer in the State of California.
