There has been a lot of hype in the vegetation management space around using new data sources to score risk: LiDAR, satellite imagery, weather data, etc., but one fact doesn't get enough attention—the fact that there will always vegetation risk on the system. It is important for utilities to address this fact and determine what to do about it. How do they make sure that every dollar spent on vegetation management goes to the thing that is going to buy down the most risk and produce the best benefit?  This panel session of utility representative who have figured out how to crack the code on risk-spend efficiency and using data to get extreme value from their vegetation management program.
