Description

National Grid has through acquisition grown over the course of several years. Merging complex systems and multiple ISO settlements and integration processes of the acquired utilities’ is a challenge. Process automation and replacement of older settlement systems creates a scalable, robust and highly reliable settlement capability across all National Grid subsidiaries. As a participant in the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) and ISO New England (ISO-NE), it is important to automate and consolidate the settlements process to provide timely and precise information that meets individual requirements unique to each ISO. In this session learn how National Grid’s modern settlements processes uses a meter data management system (MDMS) as the core platform for automation, adding many benefits and making the business case more compelling. The solution leverages existing systems to create a robust, streamlined and consolidated settlement solution. This effort created a highly scalable interval-based settlement model, delivering timely and accurate regulatory deliverables, while positioning for future growth.
