Dr. Nilesh Kane is currently serving as the Chief Distribution-Mumbai Business and Home Automations Business at TATA Power. He is Board member of M/s. Tata Power Ajmer Distribution Ltd. And M/s. Yashmun Engineers Ltd. Subsidiaries of Tata Power. He carries experience of over 26 years in Electrical Operations and Technology ranging from Generation, Transmission, Distribution & Renewable sectors to latest pioneering technologies like Battery energy storage, Electric vehicle solutions and smart grid projects. He is instrumental in many innovations in Tata Power and holds around 10+ patents. He has been awarded with ‘Serial Innovator Award’ by Tata Innovista, an global Tata Group level forum for his contribution in innovation. He is an eminent speaker in many conferences like DISTRIBUTECH, USA; CIGRE, Paris, Metering India and many more international conferences in various topics of Power distribution, EV, Energy storage, Home Automation, smart grid etc. He represented India in many international delegations to USA, Germany, UK, Norway, and Finland along with top government officials. Dr. Kane is Alumni of Harvard Business School, Bostan, USA, IIM, Ahmedabad, India, MBA- Energy management from MDI Gurgaon (Gold medallist) and PhD in strategy and Power management. Member of various Bureau of Indian Standards Committees.
