Doug Foley is Eversource’s President of Electric Operations, Massachusetts. He oversees system operations, engineering, and investment planning functions, and is responsible for ensuring almost 1.5 million electric customers receive reliable service while achieving solid performance, safety, and efficiency across the system. He is also responsible for Eversource Electric Operations’ storm response across all three states and chairs the company’s Emergency Coordination Team. Prior to taking this position, Doug served as Eversource’s President of New Hampshire Operations, and before that as Vice President of Electric Field Operations in Massachusetts. In both roles, he was responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable daily delivery of electricity, and also served as Incident Commander for emergency restoration efforts. Under Doug’s leadership, Eversource in Massachusetts was recognized with three Edison Electric Institute Emergency Recovery Awards honoring the company’s prompt and effective response to major storms. Eversource has also posted top-tier reliability performance in the industry. Doug joined Eversource in 1989 and has held various positions in the company’s Electric Operations organization. He has been a member of various professional, civic and industry organizations, including Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he is a member of the Strategic Energy Board, and the board of directors of Special Olympics New Hampshire. He is also a proud Eagle Scout and an Executive Board Member of the Boy Scouts of America, Mayflower Council. Doug holds master’s degrees in Power Systems Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Business Administration from Anna Maria College. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
