Roberto Gonzalez-Ramos, PE (CA), Senior Consultant Electrical Engineer, Substation Engineering, has over 20 years of engineering experience in systems engineering on utility substation. His experience extends from commissioning, engineering design and project engineering lead for switching, distribution and transmission substations. In his professional career he has been involved in the commissioning equipment connecting to combine cycle generation. He has also supported programs to commission new protection and control equipment installed in brownfield substations. At his current position, he leads projects relating to build and re-build substation subsystems ranging from EHV electrical elements to the configurations of MV systems. Recently he was tasked to support and lead the design and installation of a large transmission connected battery energy storage project.
