It’s clear that California is committed to reaching 100% clean electricity by 2045 and is already well on its way with nearly 60% of the state's electricity generated from renewable and zero-carbon sources in 2020, according to the California Energy Commission. Just to get to where it is today, the state’s energy industry has already created and deployed numerous new innovative technologies and solutions and many more are to come.
There is no better city than Sacramento, the state’s capitol city and the place where the state’s groundbreaking clean energy initiatives and legislation are created, to learn about the latest initiatives and innovations, and how the local utility and this year’s host utility SMUD is doing its part to reach 100% clean electricity by 2045.
